The Champions League T20 (CLT20) is set to return after 10 years in 2026. The tournament is a replica of the UEFA Champions League in cricket, where top teams from different leagues participate for one title. First it was played in 2009 in India, where 12 teams participated from Australia, India, England and Wales, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. The first edition was won by the New South Wales Blues, and the Chennai Super Kings emerged victorious in the last edition in 2014. In this article, we’ve mentioned the list of all Champions League T20 winners from 2009 to 2014.

All Champions League T20 Winners from 2009 to 2014

The New South Wales Blues, the first-class team from Australia, won the first edition of the Champions League T20 in 2009. The team defeated Trinidad and Tobago in the final by 41 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.

The second edition of the CLT20 was played in South Africa, where 10 teams participated. CSK, MI, and RCB participated in the edition from IPL. Chennai Super Kings defeated Warriors by 8 wickets in the final to win CLT20 2010 at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Another IPL team, Mumbai Indians, won the Champions League T20 2011 by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final by 31 runs thanks to James Franklin and Harbhajan Singh’s amazing performances at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

The fourth edition of the tournament was played in South Africa in 2012, where the Sydney Sixers from the Australian Big Bash League (BBL) clinched the title. They defeated Lions in the final by 10 wickets.

The CLT20 2013 was played in India, where Mumbai Indians clinched their second title by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, New Delhi.

The last edition of the tournament was played in India again, where Chennai Super Kings equaled Mumbai Indians with their second CLT20 trophy. They defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, in the final.
