Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is turning the battleground into a haunted playground with its upcoming 4.0 update, with supernatural powers, creepy castles, and Halloween-themed content. After the recent 3.9 update, the game is now adding ghost elements, new locations, and gameplay mechanics to keep players engaged this season.

Haunted Battle Royale Begins

Mark your calendars BGMI 4.0 is expected to launch between September 4 to 9, 2025. At the center of this update is the new Spooky Soiree Mode, which includes:

  • Fog-based visuals that change the map’s look
  • Supernatural skills that can turn fights
  • A loot-heavy haunted hot drop for risk-takers

Magic Mirror Castle – The New Hot Drop

Replacing last year’s Dracula’s Castle, Magic Mirror Castle is now BGMI’s haunted fight zone.

  • Located among waterfalls, eerie landscapes, and green skies
  • Contains King’s Crates with rare loot and special powers
  • Home to Ghosty, the spirit companion

Ghosty – The Battle Companion

Ghosty is more than just decoration.

Ghosty’s Powers:

  • Revive teammates while you keep fighting
  • Heal you while moving, in air or during gunfights

Unlockable Abilities from Spooky Crates:

Primary Skills:

  • Ghost Balloon – Turns Ghosty into a hot-air balloon for movement and escapes
  • Magic Shield – 3,000 HP shield that blocks bullets and grenades, pushing back enemies

Secondary Skills:

  • Speed Boost – Move quickly across terrain
  • Enemy Locator – Reveals enemy positions for a short time
  • Players can carry three primary and four or five secondary skills, with upgrades from collecting duplicates.

The 4.0 Beta adds new magical effects, lighting, and Halloween-style map changes. Some sound effects are incomplete in the beta, but the final release will have them.

From flying over Erangel on a broom, to holding Magic Mirror Castle with a Magic Shield, to visiting graveyard concerts, BGMI 4.0 Beta is bringing a new type of seasonal gameplay to the game.
