Bengaluru Blasters vs Hubli Tigers, one of the most exciting games of the Maharaja T20 Trophy 2025, has concluded in Mysore with the Tigers successfully chasing the mammoth of 226 runs. Hubli Tigers defeated Bengaluru Blasters by 5 wickets in the 5th match of the season thanks to the oustanding century of 31-year-old Mohammed Taha and Shivkumar Rakshith’s mind-blowing finishing. Hubli Tigers captain, Devdutt Padikkal won the toss and elected to bowl firts against Benagluru Blasters in match no, 5 of the Maharaja T20 Trophy 2025.

While batting first, the Bangaluru Blasters started well. LR Chethan and Rohan Patil attacked the opposition with their aggressive intent. Chetan got out to Ritesh Bhatkal on 23 runs, while Rohan smashed 80 runs off just 43 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes, before getting out to Yash Raj Gupta.

Suraj Gupta, Rohan Naveen, and Naveen MG also batted decently, scoring 20+ runs, respectively. With this collective effort and Rohan’s incredible inning, Bengaluru Blasters sets the target of 226 for Hubli Tigers to chase in 20 overs. Yash Raj Gupta took 3 wickets, while Cariappa got 2.

Prakhar Chaturvedi and last match centurion, Mohammed Taha, come out to open for Hubli Tigers. However, the mix-up between the batters cost Chaturvedi his wicket as a run-out on 18 runs. On top of this mix, the team lost the next two batters, Devdutt Padikkal and Karthikeya KP, on single digits. The bowling team gets momentum with 3 early wickets.

However, Mohammed Taha controlled the inning with new batter Abhinav Manohar. Both batters played according to the situation and started the counterattack once they got set. After a much-needed partnership, Naveen MG dismissed Abhinav on 33 runs, but Taha continued his attack on bowlers. The 31-year-old batter smashed a century, his second back-to-back this season. He scored a total of 101 runs off just 54 balls, including 9 fours and 7 sixes. Prateek Jain removes the centurion and once again puts pressure on the Tigers.

Hubli Tigers needed 17 in the last over, and Shivkumar Rakshith and Samarth Nagaraj were batting against Prateek Jain. Samarth took 1 run on the first ball to give a strike to Rakshil, who played the second ball for 2 runs to mid-on. Bhatkal got run out on the third ball. Now in three balls, the Tigers needed 14 runs. On the fourth ball Rakshit smashed a six over long, and on the fifth he went straight down the ground for another maximum to put the bowler under pressure. Now 2 runs in 1 ball, Rakshit chose to go with the flow and smashed a winning four on deep mid-wickets to win the match for Hubli Tiger by 2 wickets. The wicket-keeper batter played a match-winning cameo of 18 runs off 6 balls.
