Hubli Tigers openers, captain Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Taha, started decently, but Santokh Singh gave the first breakthrough in the final by dismissing the opposition captain on just 10 runs. However, the next batters, Krishnan Shrijith and Taha, build a strong partnership. Taha scored 27 runs off 15 balls, while Shrijith smashed the fifty before getting out to Sachin Shinde. After his wicket, no batter was able to go past 20 runs, and Hubli Tiger managed to score 154 runs in 20 overs at the end. Sachin Shinde took 3 wickets, while Macneil Noronha and Shreevathsa Acharya got 2 each.
While chasing the target of 155 in the big final, the openers of the Mangalore Dragons gave them an amazing start. Lochan Gowda got out on 18 runs with initial fireworks, but Sharath BR took the charge and scored 49 runs off 35 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes. After this amazing start, Pallavkumar Das and Aneesh KV held the inning, but the match was interrupted by rain when Dragons was on 85 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in 10.4 overs. When the rain didn’t stop, the referees decided to announce the winner by the VJD method, and Dragons won the game by 14 runs.
