The fourth edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2025 is about to start. Day 1 (August 11, 2025) of the tournament will see the defending champion Mysore Warriors up against the Bengaluru Blasters. In the rivalry, LR Chetan, an emerging talent from Karnataka, can create a difference between these two teams.
Who is LR Chetan?
For the Mysore Warriors and the Bengaluru Blasters, both team managements tried to form a well-balanced squad. With the combination of experienced candidates and emerging talents, their squads are looking finely bonded. But few individuals, like LR Chetan, can influence the result of the match at any moment of the game. If someone wishes to look beyond the well-established cricket royals of Karnataka, then LR Chetan is definitely among those emerging talents from local alleys who can excite a cricket fan. The rawness of his batting and never-die attitude became one of the highlights of last season’s Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament.
He was one of those blistering batters who set the stage to fire with his ability to hit the ball hard. Chetan was the second-highest run getter of the campaign, right after the top run scorer, Mayank Agarwal. The Bengaluru Blasters keeper-batter ended the tournament with 447 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 173.25. He hit one century and three half-centuries powered by 40 fours and 26 sixes, the second-most in the season. With the help of Chetan’s explosive batting performances, Bengaluru Blasters reached the final of the Maharaja T20 Cup.

Who can win the match?
In terms of strength, Mysore Warriors and Bengaluru Blasters are almost built similarly, at least on pen and paper. But Warriors will start the match as the favorite to win, as they have too many star players in their squad and the options in hand to add extra depth according to the conditions of the pitch. Along with Karun Nair, the inclusion of Manish Pandey will definitely bolster their batting power. Prasidh Krishna is also there in their lineup to provide the defending champion a slight extra edge over their opposition.
On the other side, under the leadership of Mayank Agarwal, Blasters has multiple unexplored talents who can be terrific against any team in the tournament. Eyes will be on LR Chetan with the hope to witness some cracking shots on the green turf of Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground, Mysore.
