The winner of a BGMI tournament in the second half of 2025 will get a direct slot at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 in Thailand. This is one of the biggest chances for Indian squads to compete at the top global stage in mobile esports.

According to the latest updates the champion of a BGMI event expected to be the BGMI Showdown 2025 will skip regional qualifiers and head straight into PMGC 2025. This situation occurs right after Krafton cancelled the BGMI Franchise League, because it received no interest from teams. The company is now focusing on open format tournaments, since they give more international exposure.
For Indian rosters, this is not just a way to reach PMGC but also to prove themselves against top teams worldwide.
Scheduled Tournaments & Timeline
Krafton India has planned multiple BGMI tournaments in the second half of 2025, including:
- BGMI Masters Series 2025 (Sep 18 – Oct 7): Will feature Masters and Challengers divisions, with league-based qualification.
- BGMI Showdown 2025 (H2 2025, expected): Likely to be the direct qualifier for PMGC 2025.
The winner of one of these events will qualify straight to PMGC 2025 in Thailand (Nov–Dec), without going through the early stages.

India’s Esports Journey in 2025
Indian esports already made good progress in 2025. Teams have shown growth both in national and international events:
- BGIS 2025 (Jan–Apr, Kolkata Grand Finals): Team Versatile were the winners.
- BMPS 2025 (May–Jul, New Delhi Grand Finals): Team Aryan × TMG took the title and later represented India at the PUBG Mobile World Cup in Riyadh.
Now, with one more direct slot available for PMGC 2025, another Indian team will get a chance to compete on the world stage.
