The PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 is finally getting close, and now the group allocations and event format has been made public. This event, which is set to run from July 25 to August 3, will be the second major international tournament of the year for PUBG Mobile. The competition takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and features 24 elite teams from different regions, all fighting for a share of the massive $3 million prize pool and a chance to be crowned world champion.

PMWC 2025 Group Stage Format & Schedule
The tournament begins with the Group Stage, lasting for three days starting from July 25. The participating 24 squads have been sorted into three groups Red, Green and Yellow. Every team will get to play 12 matches during this stage, giving each of them equal chance to score and secure their place.

After the Group Stage wraps up, the top eight teams on the overall scoreboard will qualify directly into the Grand Finals. But that’s not the end for the rest. The other 16 squads will enter a Survival Stage, where they will still have a shot to make it through. From there, eight more teams will be able to reach the finals based on their performance.
This format makes every match count. There’s very less space for mistakes, and with only 16 teams reaching the finals, the pressure to perform from the first day will already be very high.
PMWC 2025 Group Stage Maps and Daily Match Setup
Every day in the Group Stage will include six matches, played across three main maps. The action starts with Sanhok, where the pace is quick and things can go chaotic very fast. Then the focus shifts to Erangel, where three back-to-back matches will test consistency. At the end of each day, teams will face off in two rounds on Miramar, a map where positioning and range plays bigger role.
