After a highly engaging T20I Tri-Nation series, Zimbabwe and New Zealand (ZIM vs NZ) are all set to face each other in a two-match Test series. The series is scheduled to start on July 30, 2025. The first test of the upcoming competition will be played between July 30 and August 3. And the second encounter between these two teams will be staged between August 7 and 11.

Both of the matches will be arranged at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, scheduled to start at 10:00 am local time. For the series, Zimbabwe has done some reinforcement work. The returns of Ben Curran and Brian Bennett have bolstered the strength of the team on pen and paper. It is now heavily believed that experienced cricketer Brendan Taylor, whose three-and-a-half-year ban for breaching the ICC’s anti-corruption code ended on July 25, can be added to the squad. Though, three players—Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Prince Masvaure, Wessly Madhevere, and Kundai Matigimu—have been dropped from the troop.

On the other side, New Zealand, the winner of the Tri-Nation T20I series, has also made some adjustments in their mix. Fast bowler Matt Fisher has got his maiden call-up for this assignment. He will be combined with Nathan Smith, Will O’Rourke, and Jacob Duffy to make the Kiwi pace battery more powerful. Glenn Phillips will not be available due to injury; Michael Bracewell has been included in the squad as his replacement. Ben Sears is also not a part of the squad.
